Movie Trailers: Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

I was waiting a long time for this trailer. This is the most curious I’ve been about a Marvel movie yet. Thankfully, it didn’t disappoint.

While I’d rather they spent more time explaining the plot than introducing the characters, I understand why they went this route. This is Marvel’s most ambitious movie since Avengers. Sci-fi is difficult for many audiences to swallow. Throw in a talking raccoon and giant tree as two of your protagonists and that pill became a lot bigger. Humor was a smart and safe bet, though they went all in on everything else. From design to characters, this doesn’t seem to be afraid what it is.

I wanted to hear the other characters talk, particularly Rocket and Groot, but I’m sure we’ll get plenty of that in the movie. I’m still unclear who the villain is, at least from this trailer (it’s Ronan the Accuser). Also, the Nova world looked amazing. Maybe we’ll see an appearance by Rich Rider (Earth’s Nova)? Likely not, but I’m sure he’ll be alluded too. Aside from Avengers: Age of Ultron, this is the phase two movie I’m looking forward to the most. August can’t get her fast enough.

What did you think of the trailer? Confused? Comment below!

Uga chaka.
